Critical Investigation---> Representation of ethnic minorities in broad sheet newspapers- this will be an interesting investigation as broadsheet newspapers offer a more detailed representation of ethnic minorities as broadsheet newspapers contain more information and mainly target the more intellectual audience.
Linked Production---> Create two newspaper articles showing a negative representation and another article showing a more detailed un-biased representation; containing more written information and less cropped and editied pictures to create a moral panic.

I could apply this definition to my case study as focusing on the way British and American media represent ethnic minorities; whether they are racist representations or not.
Audit Bureau of circulation ABC- an independant body, launched in 1931, in response to advertiser demand for independant verification of the claims made by the sales teams of newspapers and magazines, especially the national press then collectively known as fleet street.
-->by investigating further the circulation of the news paper it provides a deeper meaning into the reasons for the representation.
Bias- An ideological slanting of a maedia text, usually factual reporting, to represent one point of view more favourably than another.
Effects Theory- An audience theory that tends to see the audience as passive and seeks to measure how exposure to paticular aspects of media content can influence the behaviour of the reader or viewer.
Dumbing down- the practice of reducing the iontellectual or acedemic content of a media or cultural text in order to make it accessible to a larger audience.
